Australian Government Boards
The Government is committed to increasing the number of women in decision-making and leadership roles in Australia. The AppointWomen register is one of the strategies to achieve this.
AppointWomen is a database managed by the Australian Government's Office for Women (OFW). Details of suitable candidates from the register's database can be provided by OfW to Australian Government agencies on their request.
Currently the number of women on Australian Government boards and bodies is 33.5 percent (APPOINT June 2005).
You can become part of this database by registering your details and CV with OfW.
For more information contact OfW's Leadership and Consultation Team, who can tell you all about the AppointWomen programme.
