FaHCSIA provides services and assistance to promote healthy family relationships and gives families the opportunities to take part in their local communities. FaHCSIA also helps families experiencing changes to their financial and social circumstances.

Families in Australia: 2008 examines a selection of key topics, including fertility, caring responsibilities, economic wellbeing of families, health of family relationships and how Australians are balancing work and family responsibilities.
