The Beijing Plus Five Outcomes Document includes several forward-looking strategies to increase the involvement of men and boys in working for gender equality.
OfW is undertaking in-house research on the role of men and boys and expects to publish a paper by the end of the year. The paper will provide background information on the role men and boys can play to promote gender equality, identify obstacles and future challenges, highlight developments overseas and outline possible future actions for governments, the private sector, the community sector, teachers, employers and individuals. The paper will also document best practices in Australia and overseas.
