Action Plan on Gender and Development

The 1995 Commonwealth Action Plan on Gender and Development (PoA) and the Update to the Plan of Action (Update) were endorsed by Ministers Responsible for Women's Affairs in all Commonwealth countries. The PoA is the cornerstone of government activities for the attainment of gender equality and the Update supplements it to reflect global changes and provides a more focused 'working agenda' for Commonwealth Ministers. Commonwealth countries prepare regular reports on implementation progress against the PoA and the Update.
